Possession of bobcats and cougars require permit. Applicants must notify intent to possess native felines and have
enclosures built and inspected by Conservation officer prior to taking possession. Department has specific cage
requirements for cougars. Permits will not be issued to persons in urban locations. Also issues permits for the public
exhibition of wildlife. Applications require statement regarding person education and experience, description of facilities,
number of species desired, and signed agreement that recommended standards for wildlife exhibition will be adhered to.
